Alford - Cable works

Viking Link, working with Balfour Beatty and Allelys, will be carrying out activities to transport cable drums from the Port of Boston to secure compound locations off the A1111, A1104 and the A52 at Sandilands, via Alford.

Due to the size and weight of the equipment, specialist large transportation vehicles are required which will affect the roads along the route of travel. Vehicle escorts will be used to assist with the safe transportation of the cable drums.

This route has been carefully planned to ensure it is suitable and safe for other road users, local communities, our employees and contractors.
